I took the day off work, and it has been much appreciated, and needed. My weekends seem to be getting busier and busier
I did however go to the gym at 8am! I hope you’re all impressed 🙂
I have to say if I had the choice I would love to train in the morning more often. I think it was one of my best sessions. I am really starting to enjoy the deadlifts, even though my tiny hands struggle to grip the bar properly!
So here’s what I did:
Trap bar deadlifts
4 sets of 10 reps with 10kg per side
4 sets of 20 reps with 2.5kg added to the bar
5 sets of 10 run throughs of combination with 10 seconds rest in-between
It wasn’t as much as usual, but the deadlifts combined with the grappler are sooo tiring!! I’m excited to see where I can get to with it though. Still makes me smile to write things like that, as it’s only really been 8 months since I stepped foot in the gym. so I think I’m making pretty good progress.
My skin has calmed down a little bit since I started using the Effaclar Duo by La Roche-Posay. The nasty little cluster that had claimed residence under my jawline are finally starting to subside, thankfully! I’ll keep an eye on it and let you know how I get on as if it is something that helps, then I’m thinking of putting together a list of products/supplements that might just work positively on PCOS symptoms.
Speaking of products….
I am a bit of a beauty/skincare/make-up junkie and treated myself to some new products this weekend.
The first is Sanctuary Spa Resurface & Refine Ultra Polish
If you have ever noticed small red bumps on the back of your arms, or just any areas where you need a bit of skin smoothing, then this is the product for you. I’ve only used it once and already noticed an improvement. My arms definitely felt smoother. I’m also going to concentrate on the backs of my thighs as I tend to get the occasional spot there, so anything that can help with that is a blessing!
The other product I bought is Sanctuary Spa 4 Day Body Oil Spray
I have never been any good at body moisturising, but as I’m losing weight I want to make sure my skin maintains its elasticity, so moisturising needs to become part of the routine! I know that buying this oil might be a bit of a cheat, but it’s a good place to start, I think…. It also smells really good!
So I promise to have a go at using both for a few weeks and will let you know whether there’s any improvement.
I personally love having new products to try as it tends to give me a bit of a boost, even if only temporarily, and when you’re watching what you eat I think you need something to look forward to!
