I was up bright and early this morning, as I now am every Saturday, to train with the lovely Chris. I really enjoy Saturday sessions as we concentrate on strength training, something I never thought I would be saying!
So today we did:
Trap bar deadlift
1 set just with the bar x 20 reps
1 set with 5KG per side x 20 reps
2 sets with 6.25KG per side x 20 reps
1 set with 7.5KG per side x 9 reps
1 set with 5KG per side x 5 reps
Sledgehammer and tyre
Interval work of 20 seconds work with 10 seconds rest x 6 sets
Practising combinations and interval work with 20 seconds rest between each set – 10 sets done
I think working with the trap bar is my newest challenge. It’s tough but I am determined to get really good at it as it will most certainly help improve my back strength, which I really need to improve.
The best part of the session was the boxing as Chris is working with me on combinations, and it was so much fun!
