Friday 6th December Part 2 – The Workouts Post!

I’ve had a pretty busy couple of weeks, which is why there has been a glaringly obvious lack of posts. Apologies for that! 

I’ve been at the gym a few times and Chris is really upping the ante with my workouts! Here’s what he’s had me doing:


Wednesday 27th November

Giant set:

Leg press (80kg) 10 reps x 2 sets
Shoulder press (6kg) 10 reps x 2 sets
Leg curl (25kg) 10 reps x 2 sets
Pull downs (50kg) 10 reps x 2 sets

Prowler runs (10kg per side) 4 lengths x 3 sets

Repeated giant set for 3 more sets.

All giant sets had no rest in between.

Boxing mix of 4 hit combo (hooks and uppercuts) and increasing reps.


Saturday 30th November

Sprint
Prowler run
Sprint
Prowler run

Slam ball (60seconds)

Boxing (100 punches)

6 rounds through

Boxing:

6 hit combo x 10
20 punches
Combo
30 punches
Combo
40 punches
Combo
50 punches
Combo
60 punches

2 sets of the above 

100 punches x 2 sets to finish


Tuesday 3rd December 

Superset:

Leg press with prowler run

10reps x 100kg, 10 reps x 120kg, 10 reps x 120kg, 10 reps x 120kg, 10 reps x 120kg, 10 reps x 120kg

Prowler had 25kg per side

Boxing:

6 hit combo x 10
20 Jab & Cross
6 hit combo x 10
30 Jab & Cross
4 hit combo (hook & uppercut)
40 Jab & Cross
4 hit combo
50 Jab & Cross

4 hit combo
60 uppercuts
4 hit combo
70 hooks
4 hit combo
80 hooks
4 hit combo
90 hooks
4 hit combo
100 hooks

All combos are x 10



So as you can see he has been working me hard! 

I have to say (yet again!) that the boxing is always my favourite part of training. I love that we are now doing combinations. I think we both enjoy them as usually one of us gets confused and messes it up a bit. But that just means we end up laughing, and how can that be a bad thing!
