Saturday 16th November – Updates galore!

I can’t believe I haven’t done an update since Wednesday. Too much has happened!

So I wore THE DRESS! It was a little bit daunting at first, and I was VERY aware of my posture! But I got some really lovely comments. In fact one lady who had seen me in July didn’t recognise me! I didn’t think I’d changed that much, but getting support and positive feedback is a real motivator.

I may have overdone the white wine (that was FREE!) at the event on Wednesday night, due to the nerves. and was therefore a little worse for wear on Thursday!

There was a brilliant event on at Elite Performance Fitness on Thursday evening: ‘The Christmas Survival Guide’. My fabulous friend, Sally, who writes a brilliant blog on fashion and beauty, did a great piece on the event: http://www.sweetiesal.com/2013/11/elite-performance-fitness-christmas.html
There are some photos in there of the gym too, so check it out!

The last few weeks have been crazy busy so I took it easy last night, mainly because I seem to be having a bit of a PCOS flare up. I’ve been suffering with pretty bad nausea on and off for a few days and then last night started with nasty pain in my left side. This used to happen a lot a couple of years ago and would radiate from side to side between my groin and round to my back. I didn’t sleep well last night as I couldn’t get comfortable and still felt bad this morning. I went to the gym for my session with Chris but felt really sick from the pain so told him what was going on. He was great (as usual) and said we didn’t have to train. That’s one of the many things that is so great about Chris. He’s very empathetic and always willing to do what is best for you. That’s the sign of a great trainer.

So as I didn’t sweat my backside off this morning I came home and cleaned the flat, did some washing, had a manicure and then baked some protein cookies! Here’s the recipe: http://www.proteinpow.com/2013/03/chocolate-protein-cookies.html#more

Mine didn’t look anywhere near as good as the ones on the link above, but they tasted pretty good. I’m going to play around with the recipe and try different variations. I used to love baking before I started the paleo eating, so it’s great to get back into it now!

Still suffering with a fair amount of pain so going to leave it there for tonight.
