Wednesday 5th September – not my best performance!

I am not happy with myself this evening. I really struggled at the gym tonight and it has pissed me off a little bit. I know I’ve only been training for a few weeks, and my fitness level is low, but I just feel like I let myself (and Chris) down a bit. I don’t like not being able to do something, and so far I think I’ve done OK with the sessions. So tonight just feels like a bit of a setback. However! Rather than get down about it and be miserable, I will just have to work harder next week. 

I know this is a long term aim, in fact this is my way of life now, I just have to ignore the negative voice and realise it’s going to take time. As long as I stick to the healthy eating and give 100% to the exercise, both at the gym and at home, then this will work! 

So tonight’s sessions was: 

Incline dumbbell flies – 
15 reps x 3kg
20 reps x 3kg

Supersetted with high press ups – 
15 reps
20 reps

Seated pull downs –
25 reps x 25kg
30 reps x 30kg
35 reps x 35kg
40 reps x 40kg

Supersetted with high press ups – 
25 reps 
30 reps
35 reps
40 reps

Leg Press – 
15 reps x 40kg
20 reps x 40kg
25 reps x 40kg
40 reps x 40kg

Supersetted with box squats – 
15 reps
20 reps
25 reps

Boxing Sprints (hits + short sprint in between each set) – 
Jab & Cross x 20 reps 
Jab & Cross x 30 reps
Jab & Cross x 40 reps
Jab & Cross x 50 reps
Jab & Cross x 50 reps 

Hook Sprints (same as above) – 
20 reps
30 reps
40 reps 
50 reps  
60 reps 

Jab & Cross x 50 reps straight in to 50 hooks 

It looks like quite a lot when you see it written down, and I suppose I should be happy with that, but I know I could have done better. 

Anyway, enough moaning for one night! 

Food today: egg white omelette for breakfast, apple, chicken salad for lunch, nuts, banana, couple of squares of dark chocolate before and after the gym, venison burger with sweet potato and mixed vegetables for dinner 

So, circuit tomorrow at home and either Friday or Saturday, then back to the gym next week to kick my own ass!
