This is what happened tonight at the gym!
Training tonight was:
Leg press – 4 sets of 15 reps at the following weights: 40kg, 60kg, 70kg and 75kg. Hardcore!
Seated row – 4 sets of 15 all at 25kg
Supine bridge walkouts (evil!) – 3 sets of 12 reps
Leg extensions – 3 sets of 15 reps: 1 at 20kg, 2 at 25kg
Yoga Planks – 3 reps held for 20, 21 and 36 seconds
Boxing – mix of punchbag and pads
This is the aim!!
Before training I had a chat with Chris as I’ve been suffering with a lot of ‘hormonal’ nausea and it’s been getting me down a bit. It’s one of the crappier symptoms of my PCOS. However, as I have an ace trainer, AKA Chris, we just talked it through. It makes such a difference being able to talk it all through with him. He’s not just there to suggest what to eat and train me in the gym, which he reminds me of, he’s there to listen and I really appreciate that.
Food today: egg white omelette for breakfast, apple, chicken salad for lunch, celery with peanut butter, steak with sweet potato and mushrooms for a very late dinner
I ate something today that I haven’t had for 2 months – chocolate! BUT Chris said it was OK to have some before and after training as long as it was 70% cocoa and above. It felt really weird eating it, and I can’t honestly say I enjoyed it. I can’t believe I’m saying that! It did give me a bit of an energy boost though.
It’s 10.30pm and I’m still wide awake! Is this what training does?? Time to try and unwind…
I’ve said it before, and I’m going to keep saying it, Chris is brilliant and if you’re even just thinking about asking for advice on nutrition and/or exercise, I can’t recommend him enough.
