Sunday 21st July

So today is the end of week 3 of my new ‘eating clean’ plan. I feel like I’m starting to get used to the changes, but there are still some cravings there. That’s normal though, at least that’s what I’m telling myself. The supermarket shop has to be one of the hardest things at the moment though. We are all so programmed to pick up the brightly packaged items without thinking about it. People walk around the supermarket like zombie, grabbing things without really looking at what they’re picking up. I don’t say this to sound condescending, I just feel like I’ve woken up and am now paying attention to what I’m buying and therefore what I’m eating. It’s as though I’ve started a re-education of my brain in relation to food.

Here’s this week’s shop:

Looks pretty good, doesn’t it?

Food today: poached eggs and bacon for breakfast, ham and buffalo mozzarella with salad for lunch, melon, pineapple and banana, toast turkey thigh with broccoli and spinach for dinner, strawberries

I’ve definitely seen a difference on the scales, which is great, but I’m really interested to see what happens with the measurements. I went shopping yesterday and tried on a few tops for work in my ‘usual’ size and they were all too big! Nice surprise!

So far so good. Fingers crossed it stays that way!
